CIATLE
Continuous Improvement Tools for Learning Enhancement
A suite of Windows desktop tools to help faculty and program coordinators measure, document, and improve course outcomes — with built-in support for ABET accreditation reporting.
The CIATLE Suite
CIATLE-FCE
Faculty Course Evaluation
Faculty use CIATLE-FCE to document course-level outcome data each semester. For each course outcome, faculty record grade distributions, outcome measures, and narrative reflections. Submissions are packaged and sent to the program coordinator for aggregation.
- Define course outcomes (COs) and map them to program outcomes
- Record semester-by-semester offering data
- Import grade data from Excel
- Export a
.ciasubsubmission file to the coordinator
CIATLE-PE
Program Evaluator
Program coordinators use CIATLE-PE to import faculty submissions, aggregate outcome data across all courses in a program, and generate the reports needed for ABET accreditation review cycles.
- Import faculty
.ciasubsubmissions - Aggregate course outcomes to program outcomes by academic year

How CIATLE Works
CIATLE-FCE and CIATLE-PE work as a pair. Faculty gather data in FCE and submit it to the coordinator. The coordinator aggregates all submissions in PE to produce program-level reports. No server, no database — data moves between the two tools as simple files.
Step 1 — Faculty
Each faculty member opens their course file in CIATLE-FCE, adds a new semester offering, enters outcome measurement data and grade distributions, then exports a submission file.
Step 2 — Coordinator
The program coordinator imports all faculty submission files into CIATLE-PE. The tool aggregates course outcomes to program outcomes and calculates threshold results across the academic year.
Step 3 — Report
CIATLE-PE generates program-level accreditation reports from the aggregated data — ready for the ABET self-study or annual review process.
