Module Content

Module Content Generator

The central dashboard for a module — every content type is one button away, and a live status panel shows exactly what has already been created.

What It Does

The Module Content Generator (opened from the Module Manager) is the single point of access for all content generation within a module. Rather than navigating separate menus, every generator — presentations, text, quizzes, assignments, interactive activities, custom materials, and external links — is available as a clearly labeled button on one screen.

A Module Status panel on the right side of the screen mirrors the artifact counts from the Module Manager. It refreshes automatically whenever you return from a generator so you can see at a glance what’s been completed without leaving the screen.

Content Generation Buttons

Generate Presentations

Opens the presentation generator. The AI uses the module’s Topics List to produce a structured widescreen PowerPoint (.pptx) slide deck. Each topic becomes a section; subtopics become individual slides with layouts appropriate to the content type.

Generate Text Based Content

Produces the module’s content in four HTML formats simultaneously: Gutenberg HTML (paste-ready for WordPress), Interactive HTML (expandable sections and highlights), Printable HTML (clean single-page layout), and Markdown (plain-text compatible with most LMS platforms).

Generate Quizzes

AI generates a quiz bank aligned to the module’s topics and Bloom’s taxonomy levels. Questions are stored in PreseMaker’s internal format and can be exported to QTI (for Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle) or WPProQuiz (for WordPress-based courses).

Generate Assignments

Produces written assignment prompts tied to the module’s topics. Assignments are designed to assess deeper learning outcomes and can be copied directly into an LMS assignment editor or included in the exported module package.

Generate Interactive Activities

Opens the Interactive Activity Generator — a two-step tool for creating self-contained JavaScript/HTML learning activities. A companion View Activities button opens the activity library to browse and manage previously generated activities for this module.

Custom Materials

Opens the Custom Material Creator — an advanced prompt tool for generating any type of artifact not covered by the standard generators. Specify an output format, write a detailed prompt, attach optional source materials, and let the AI produce it.

External Materials

Opens the External Materials form to add external web resources — videos, articles, tools — to the module. PreseMaker bundles them into a standalone HTML page with descriptions, ready for LMS import.

Module Status Panel

The right side of the Module Content Generator displays a real-time artifact count for the current module. Each row shows the artifact type, a count of what has been generated, and a green checkmark when content exists. The panel covers all eight artifact types:

  • Topics — number of topics in the module’s Topics List
  • Presentations — total .pptx files (generated + imported)
  • Text Based Content — number of HTML/Markdown output files
  • Quiz Questions — total questions across all quiz banks
  • Assignments — number of assignment documents
  • Interactive Activities — number of saved activity files
  • Custom Materials — number of custom-generated artifacts
  • External Materials — number of external resource links added
