Module Manager
The hub for a single module. Start by defining its topics, then check what’s been generated and launch any content tool from one place.
What It Does
The Module Manager is the first screen you see when you open or create a module. Its job is twofold: it lets you bring a module into existence (by generating it, linking an existing folder, or importing a package), and it gives you an at-a-glance status dashboard before you dive into content generation.
Every module starts with its Topics List — an AI-analyzed hierarchy of topics and subtopics derived from your source material. The Topics List is the foundation for every other artifact PreseMaker generates for that module. Once topics exist, the Module Manager shows you what has already been created and provides the gateway to the Module Content Generator.
Creating a Module
Generate New Module
Opens the AI-assisted Module Generator. You supply a title, an optional description, and one or more source materials (existing PowerPoint, document, web page, YouTube transcript, or pasted text). The AI analyzes the sources and produces a structured Topics List.
Add Existing Module
Point PreseMaker at a module folder that already exists on disk. Useful when you’ve generated content outside PreseMaker or are reorganizing courses without regenerating anything.
Import Module Package
Import a module from a PreseMaker package file or from an online course repository. All previously generated artifacts are restored along with the module’s Topics List.
Artifact Status Panel
Once a module is loaded, the Module Manager displays a live status panel showing a count and a checkmark for each artifact type. The panel updates whenever you return to this screen so you always know exactly what has been generated.
Topics
Number of topics in the module’s Topics List. The Topics List must exist before any other content can be generated.
Presentations
Total number of .pptx files in the module’s presentations folder — both AI-generated slide decks and any manually imported files.
Text Based Content
Number of HTML output files generated — Gutenberg, Interactive, Printable, and Markdown formats each count as one file.
Quiz Questions
Total number of quiz questions across all quiz banks for this module. Exports to QTI and WPProQuiz formats are available once questions exist.
Assignments
Number of assignment documents generated for this module — written prompts designed to assess learning outcomes tied to the module’s topics.
Interactive Activities
Number of JavaScript/HTML interactive learning activities saved for this module. Each activity is a self-contained file ready to embed in an LMS or web page.
Custom Materials
Number of artifacts created through the Custom Material Creator — free-form AI-generated content in any output format you specified.
External Materials
Number of external resource links that have been added to this module. Each link is included in the generated External Materials HTML file.
